5 out of 5 starsVery nice roving. I love to spin this breed of sheep. I bought enough to make a scarf and hat set. I’ll be buying more from this shop. I love the natural selection. Marla D.

Frequently asked questions
Is your wool cruelty-free?
Yes! The Targhee and Merino are from the USA, proudly raised and processed here in our country. The Rambouillet is French from small french farms, processed in the UK and all the other wool are sourced from the UK. None of these places practice mulesing.
Just so you know, stressed sheep won't produce beautiful fiber.
About marking oversees purchases as a gift
I am required by law to mark custom forms as “merchandise”. Falsifying customs forms is a federal offense and carries a very heavy fine, jail time and loss of my business license so please understand that I will not honor any requests to mark as “gift” – thank you.
Is there any way you can guarantee delivery by certain date?
Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee any delivery by a certain date. Once the package is in the hands of the USPS, I don't have control over how long it will take for delivery, or when the delivery will be made. I'm one person operation, so while I make sure to process orders as soon as possible, there will be times (doctor's appointments, grocery shopping, etc) when it will take an extra day or so to process orders. I would suggest checking my delivery times and if you have a project within a deadline, please plan accordingly. Thank you. Patricia
Is the wool supposed to have such a strong odor? It smells like a pasture 😬 I don’t think I can handle spinning it!
Like any other natural fiber, wool has a distinctive smell, some stronger than others, which some people might find unpleasant. Sheep secret lanolin as protection from the elements. That's why the smell is more pungent when the wool is wet.
1. Use fresh air - Direct sunlight, fresh air, and a breeze can help remove the sheep smell and any other musty odors. Leaving the wool outside for at least two days can help to dissipate that strong smell.
2. Use Baking Soda & Vinegar - Soak the wool in a solution of water with 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of vinegar and let it sit for at least 30 min. The smell should dissipate, but if not, repeat this step once again.
3. Use Activated Charcoal. This is a good way to get rid of that sheep smell.
